Once Upon a Time, there was tie dye
The trend tie dye has been around since 500 AD and this interesting method has been used by many cultures throughout the world such as Incas, Japanese, Nigerians, Indonesians and Indians.
The use of tie dye is especially popular during the 60’s and 70’s. Tie dye is a process of resisting dye on textiles creating accidental patterns, every pattern is unique. For all those reasons, it is a good idea to give this trend a go.
It is just too difficult to not drawn to all those pretty colours created by Once Upon a time. they are young, fresh, upbeat and full of fun. they are the cutest tie die neon hippys this side of the highlands.
Once Upon A Time Vintage is run by two sisters from the highlands of Scotland and is now based in Glasgow. The business originally stemmed from a love of collecting and learning about vintage clothes and then flourished into participating in vintage fairs and selling through ASOS Marketplace.
The two sisters prides themselves in being fun, girly, quirky and grungy – yet highly wearable and affordable. As well as following current trends OUAT Vintage also has key classic pieces from vintage basics to vintage glamour. they hand-pick all their stock to ensure they love each piece as much as you will.

Their latest stock has been very 90′s themed, drawing inspiration from the likes of Saved by the Bell to the Spice Girls. they have been making tie dyed tees for a couple of years but now that they have become a huge trend for spring / summer 2012 they are also creating dyed shorts, dungarees and dresses.
As of this week they have began to run OUAT full time so they have a lot more time to put in to it so we will be sourcing lots more vintage and customizing lots more! They are planning to extend into mens vintage with a stall at Kendall Calling Festival in July, lots of fairs planned and much more – its going to be a busy Summer for the two sisters!
