Casual refinement
So today. With my 2 lovely friends Anna and Meiyan, I am trying out my wee concept of causal meet formal with Joyce Young’s off the peg collection which should be ready to open very soon, Reforming bridal dresses and occasion wear to find a place in our everyday wardrobe. I know. It sounds a bit wired but it actually worked out pretty ok.
What is very inspiring for me is that. Joyce young who is very successful for all the right reasons, still has a very hands on approach on nearly every aspects of her business. A week ago when she just excited to explain to me her initial thoughts about the off the peg outlet and pulling out her fav dress out of the bagxx to show me. The newly refurbished sale room was just looks like a storage room. A week later. It is all transformed. It 90% looks like a proper shop now! The dresses all out of the bag hanging nicely on the rail according to colours and types. Fabric trims sorted into clear bags lined up ready to be discovered by all the creative souls. She did text me last weekend to tell me herself and Maurice spent all Saturday and sunday in the shop to be sorting everything out but what I saw today was unexpected.
So me and my girls. Having our first exclusive trip of the joyce young off the peg shop. You can imagine how privileged we felt as only queen and stars as mickle Jackson got to shop only by themselves. We just pretend we are some famous people causally pick up some nice pieces to add into our wardrobes. Just bring our own clothes as well to try with since we want the new purchase to mix well with the old friends. I was the stylist plus The paparazzi with a massive camera shouting Anna are you ready yet? (it is a big room) Meiyan you look great. Now another pose. Anna and Meiyan are 2 of my good friend and also the celebrities in my shop.
On the way with 2 luggage filled with my own clothes.
What a big transformation, it is starting to looks like a proper shop now. Well done! Joyce
Lovely friend Anna, she is just so pretty and perfect all the time. I just discovered that she can speak about 4 languages and is studying French at the moment. Jealous!

If you are into high quality wellmade clothing, supporting the traditional textile techniques and appreciating a hand embroidered piece, this is a fab place to check out. The outlet is located in the Marryhill area of Glasgow and should be open very soon. Joyce liked my concept so I am now in the process of organising a proper photoshoot. There are a lot of things I need to plan and think of but very excited. Will keep you all updated on my Casual refinement project.

HI Lucy, quite good work. Is it your own shop? what’s the meaning of the word “off the peg shop”? The 1st picture of you looks like style of Michelle Yeoh(Yang Zi Qiong). Hope you peace and happy in Great britain.

I do agree with all of the concepts you have introduced on your post. They’re very convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are very brief for beginners. May just you please extend them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.
